This blog thing is addictive. I have heard from so many old friends and family members! I love it! Now the challenge of deciding how much information to write (how much do I want those reading to realize I'm a bit crazy???) But good crazy I hope.
Now that I put out there I have a resolution to run a half marathon it is in writing - does that mean I have to do it? I wanted to run today, despite the cold weather, and so I put on some good comfy pants and my new running shoes (the ones I bought to run a 5K and only wore them for that race - not since). I talked Eli and Ian into going around the block with me so I was thinking 1. I'm a great mom to be spending time with my kids despite the yucky weather 2. I'm encouraing Eli to get out and run with me 3. I'm a great mom for spending time with my kids despite the fact that I really want to drink some coffee, eat a cookie and let them watch something "educational" on PBS.
So, we go outside in our little jackets (I just can't ever dress my kids warm!) and Ian talked me into riding in the 'baby' stroller - he's 4 mind you. I wrap him up in a blanket, all the time while Eli and I are giggling at him (Ian loves to pretend he's still a baby). We start out all pumped about how great we are to do this (without Daddy too)...we get to our stop sign on our street, turn the corner make it past the first house and then it happens! Eli starts to whine that he's too cold and wants to go home, my fingers go numb from the cold wind and I realize this baby stroller doesn't even turn (I litteraly had to pick it up to make it move an inch sideways). So without much more pleading from my running partner I give in and we heave the stroller into a U-turn, head back to our house (which is just a few yards away) and hope that the neighbors aren't watching through their windows laughing at us while they are sipping their hot coffee and eating cookies (with their kids in front of the t.v.)
Much love -

We enjoyed reading your blog while sitting in the bed, eating cookies, and watching TV. Very impressive blog work!
